GFH Insulation is a joint venture between two of the world’s best known motorsports exhaust fabricators – Good Fabrications - known as GoodFabs - and Howerton Race Products.

Based at Howerton’s workshop in Indianapolis, GFH Insulation provides IndyCar teams with advanced motorsports heat shielding capabilities.

GoodFabs provides expertise developed in Formula 1 along with the best quality materials and parts sourced worldwide.

 

GoodFabs is based in ‘Motorsport Valley’ in the UK and employs 30 staff dedicated to the design and manufacture of race exhaust systems for engine builders and race teams.

Started in 1982 by Steve Good, an ex-McLaren fabricator, GoodFabs has worked in Formula 1 for 36 years. GoodFabs is also well known in US motorsports, supplying exhaust headers to every car on the grid in the 1996 Indianapolis 500.

GoodFabs has a longstanding reputation in motorsports for fabricating thin wall specialist alloys with experience in many different race categories worldwide, including NASCAR, Rallycross, World Rally Cars, Touring and GT cars, Le Mans prototypes, one-make championships and Formula 1.

Howerton Race Products was founded by legendary Hoosier 100 race winner Jackie Howerton and has been based in Gasoline Alley, Indianapolis since the late 1970s.

Now run by Jackie’s sons, Jeff and Ricky, Howerton systems have won 15 Indy 500s, seven 24 hours of Daytona, Formula Atlantic Championships, TransAm Championships, four NASCAR Championships as well as ten CART/ IRL Championships.
